Job Overview
Our vision for the future centers on empowering people to transform their own financial lives. We are seeking a Workplace Planning Consultant to join our growing Empower Personal Wealth consultation team. This role is eligible for a $5,000 licensing sign‑on bonus (applies to candidates that apply from March
25 to May
31). You will provide support to customers at key life moments, such as starting or ending employment and guiding them through their employer‑sponsored retirement accounts. The position may be performed remotely.
- Provide phone guidance to customers at key life moments.
- Discuss available 401(k) and IRA account options that align with customers’ retirement savings goals.
- Educate customers on information specific to their retirement plan, comparing options to best support their savings goals.
- Deepen customers’ relationships with Empower.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in performance/goal‑oriented roles, ideally in asset growth and retention.
- Current FINRA licenses and/or ability to obtain FINRA 7,63, and
65 (or66) registrations within corporate‑established timelines and complete FINRA fingerprinting upon hire. - Motivated, self‑starter with the ability to learn new information quickly and independently.
- Demonstrated relationship‑management and customer‑service skills.
- Problem‑solving skills and the ability to engage with customers, ask questions, share thoughts, and offer solutions.
- Previous experience with inbound and/or phone‑based consultation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn new systems; prior experience with Sales Force is a plus.
- Good understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services and the qualified retirement plan environment.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We do not sponsor visas. Remote and hybrid positions require reliable high‑speed internet with a wired connection and a dedicated workspace. If your home environment does not meet these requirements, you may be required to work in the office.

Base Salary Range: $55,300.00 – $76,075.00. Non‑sales positions participate in a bonus program; sales positions may receive sales incentives and a bonus plan, potentially resulting in total compensation that far exceeds base salary. Actual compensation offered may vary based on location, experience, education, licensure, and skill level.
