This full-time Hardscape Salesperson – Southern States role is responsible for driving sales growth of Alpha Professional Tools® products within the hardscape market across the Southern States region. The position is hybrid, based in Franklin, NJ, with a mix of on-site work, regional travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events, and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and developing new accounts, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers and distributors, and presenting product solutions that align with customer project requirements.
The Hardscape Salesperson will conduct product demonstrations, provide basic technical guidance on tool applications, and collaborate with internal teams to address customer feedback and market trends. Additional duties include preparing sales forecasts and reports, managing territory planning, maintaining CRM records, and consistently representing the Alpha Professional Tools® brand in a professional, customer-focused manner.
- Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or territory sales, ideally within construction, hardscape, tools, or related industrial products.
- Strong customer relationship‑building skills, including the ability to identify client needs, present tailored solutions, and close opportunities in a consultative manner.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear product demonstrations and explain technical features in practical terms.
- Comfort with CRM systems, basic sales reporting, and use of standard business software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation tools) to manage a sales territory.
- Self‑motivated work style with effective time management, organization, and follow‑up skills to handle a multi‑state territory and travel schedule.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Southern States region and to the Franklin, NJ office as needed.
- Familiarity with hardscape materials, stone fabrication, or construction tools is strongly preferred; mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
