As a Noregon Sales Professional for Noregon Systems, you will be responsible for prospecting and cold‑calling sales leads in your territory. You will need to travel to prospective customer sites to deliver sales pitches, provide demonstrations and of course, close deals! You need to be a self‑motivated, tech savvy individual driven to succeed. Familiarity with the Automotive/Transportation industry a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage your territory by developing new business sales and prospects, keeping an active schedule sufficient to grow revenue.
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager on territory management and account planning.
- Develop and implement an aggressive prospecting plan to uncover sales opportunities.
- Generate leads through self‑conducted research and networking, actively making multiple cold calls and setting appointments looking for new business opportunities.
- Conduct 4+ demos per week showcasing how our technology will improve their business and reduce repair times.
- Train customers to ensure renewal of software.
- Utilize ERP to record, maintain & report customer information.
- Minimum of three (3) years outside sales experience.
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience in the diagnostic tool industry a plus.
- Cold calling and prospecting: good business acumen including sales quota achievement and closing sales.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and overcome customer's buying objections.
- Strong time‑management, organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to adapt to quick business changes.
- Excellent follow‑up skills and a sense of urgency when dealing with customers.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.
- Consent to undergo background check.
This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT- This job operates in a home office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Hours will be divided between working out of a home office and traveling to prospective clients’ businesses providing demos.
- This is an active role with some on‑ and off‑site vehicle demonstration may be required. This would require the ability to enter heavy‑duty trucks and gain access to various engine components as needed, in addition to standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, bending, and stooping as necessary.
- Basic motor skills and manual dexterity for extensive computer usage are required.
- Sitting for extended periods of time is required.
- Talking, hearing and close vision abilities are required.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to withstand the stress of traveling, including extended hours driving.
