Role Description This position is a highly compensated, commission based, full-time, hybrid role based in Salt Lake City, UT, with a mix of on-site customer visits and work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for managing and growing a defined territory by developing new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting the company’s equipment, rentals, parts, and services.
Day-to-day activities include visiting customer sites, conducting product demonstrations, preparing quotes and proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and service. The Territory Manager will monitor market trends, identify sales opportunities, and maintain accurate records of account activity and pipeline status. Collaboration with service, parts, and rental departments is essential to support customers and achieve territory sales goals.
Qualifications
- Strong territory management and business development skills, including prospecting, account planning, and relationship building.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, with experience preparing quotes, closing deals, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, construction, municipal, or mining industries, or the ability to quickly learn technical product details.
- Customer service and communication skills, with the capacity to present solutions clearly and respond to client needs promptly.
- Organizational and time-management skills to balance field visits, remote work, and administrative tasks effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Prior experience in outside sales or territory management; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is beneficial.
