Overview
Senior Sales Engineer – Remote position in Minnesota. Supports two Regional Sales Managers (Enterprise and Public Sector) focused on solution selling, prospect acquisition, and customer retention. Key success metrics include new customer acquisition, renewal rates, upsell/cross‑sell, customer satisfaction, and quota attainment.
Responsibilities- Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base.
- Travel within the territory (MN, WI, ND, SD) as required.
- Exceed sales targets (quotas).
- Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
- Model financial business cases for sales opportunities.
- Match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions.
- Create and deliver presentations & demos that communicate a clear value proposition.
- Manage all technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses.
- Promote, conduct and manage Proof of Concept trials.
- Provide customers and prospects with hands‑on configuration assistance and training.
- Communicate client needs to R&D teams for future product enhancements.
- Attend trade shows as necessary.
- Collect and document competitive intelligence and share across the team.
- 3‑5 years of demonstrated solution sales experience.
- Experience in a complex sales environment.
- Ability to forge strong, long‑lasting relationships with senior executives.
- Creative ability to explain and present complex concepts understandably.
- Solid technical background with hands‑on experience in networking and/or information security technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and creativity skills.
- Confident self‑starter with integrity, accountability, and consistent achievement.
- Strong aptitude for business strategy and collaboration.
- Decisive problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to deliver a clear, compelling value proposition.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, start‑up, team‑oriented environment.

- MUST currently reside in the respective region (remote means no local office).
- Travel: up to 20‑30% within the assigned territory.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5‑10 years of solution sales experience & success.
- Applicable industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CPCNA, CCSK, CCSP, CCSE, GCFW, PCNSE, JNCIS‑SEC/JNCIP‑ENT).
- Advanced network technology certifications (e.g., CPCNE, CCNP, CCIE, CCSP, JNCIE, GIAC).
- Knowledge of certificates, key management systems, HSM, and related protocols.
- Experience with cybersecurity and networking solutions (SWG, CASB, ZTNA/VPN, NGFW, IAM, DLP, data security, regex).
- Experience with Cloud Identity Providers, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, SD‑WAN.
- Experience with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and REST APIs.
Remote from Minnesota. Relocation is not offered.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary:
Minnesota $145,000 – $165,000.
Variable compensation: sales commissions based on performance against sales targets and incentive plan. Eligibility and proration rules apply.
Health: subsidized nationwide PPO medical benefit, low‑deductible PPO, HDHP with HSA contribution.
Financial security: 401(k) with 4% company match (immediate vesting), basic life and AD&D, disability insurance.
Time off:
Minimum 15 days accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours volunteer time, 80 hours sick time. Paternity/maternity/parental leave up to 16 weeks paid.
