Compensation
$100,000 (salary + commission draw) plus uncapped commissions

Position Responsibilities
Manage all sales activities within the assigned territory, ensuring year‑over‑year growth aligned with company objectives
Prospect, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing municipal accounts and customers
Sell municipal equipment directly to end users, providing customized solutions for public works, road maintenance, and municipal operations
Deliver product demonstrations, training, and technical support to customers and internal team members as required
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events across Canada and the United States
Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Parts, Service) to support technical requirements and post‑sale customer needs
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and territory performance updates
Stay informed on municipal industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies
Participate in local Municipal Association meetings
Position Requirements & Qualifications
Education / Certification
Degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, where required for job duties, or ability to obtain
Must be legally able to travel within Canada and the United States, as required
Must be able to successfully complete a background check relevant to the role
Must be eligible to obtain OMVIC certification
Experience
Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in heavy truck or equipment sales
Demonstrated success selling to municipalities or public works departments
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of equipment applications
Familiarity with municipal procurement processes (e.g., public tenders, cooperative purchasing such as CANOE)
Experience using CRM systems

Safety Responsibilities
Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation, regulations, and safety policies
Report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
Cooperate with the workplace’s Safety Committee or health and safety representative
Use any required safety equipment, protective devices, or clothing
Do not remove or render ineffective protective devices required by the company or by regulations
Travel Expectations
Up to 90% travel within territory
Occasional travel across Canada and the United States
Location
Ontario – within the assigned territory (Northumberland, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Durham, York, Peel, Dufferin)
Combination of remote work, customer sites, and occasional office presence
