Position Description
High travel position – must be willing to travel with overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week (every week).
Reynolds and Reynolds is looking for experienced automotive professionals to join our consulting team. Our superior software solutions, award‑winning sales, service, and support have made us one of the most recognized and respected companies in the automotive industry. As an Automotive Business Consultant, your primary focus will be to establish professional relationships with customers and help their businesses become more efficient, effective, and profitable.
You will work with dealership personnel to identify trouble areas within the dealership and then use established consulting services programs, as well as your industry knowledge, to help solve these issues. After projects are complete, you will follow up with customers to maintain relationships and provide ongoing fee‑for‑service support and problem resolution. By helping these customers succeed in the different areas of the dealership, you build trust that further drives consulting services sales.
Our training consists of 90 days in the field with experienced consultants, online courses completed in the home office, and classroom instruction at our offices in Dayton and Houston. Compensation during training is a $60,000–63,000 base salary. You will be eligible for quarterly bonuses after the 9‑month training period. Total targeted income after training (including base and bonuses) is $80,000+.
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of automotive dealership experience (Sales Associate/Representative, Service Advisor, Sales Manager, Internet Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, F&I Manager, Controller/Office Manager, Parts Manager, Service Manager, Fixed Operations Director, or GM).
- Willingness to travel extensively with overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week (every week).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years.
