Job Overview
The IRD Support Specialist oversees the sales pipeline by providing superior service and sales support for the various affiliation models at LPL (Linsco, RIA, and Strategic Wealth). This position supports the sales pipeline through every stage of the buying process within their territories, acting as the liaison between sales, marketing, and product teams in support of the Regional Director Specialist. The role’s primary function is to optimize the sales process relative to the territory pipeline.
Responsibilities- Outbound call and territory‑specific campaigns relative to affiliation models (Linsco, RIA, and Strategic Wealth).
- Set appointments for external recruiters to meet with advisors in‑field.
- Evaluate potential advisors and determine whether they are appropriate candidates for LPL before introducing them to the pipeline.
- Oversee and manage issue resolution related to deals in the pipeline.
- Understand and articulate LPL’s business model, policies, the financial services industry, and the benefits of joining one of LPL’s affiliation options.
- Individually own certain advisor segments of the pipeline from initial contact to the advisor joining LPL, and work in close partnership with the RD to manage the other segments.
- Own and manage request for information processes and delivery.
- Own and manage the transition assistance process.
- Prepare pro forma reports and analytics related to the territory pipeline.
- Create customized pitch decks for large or complex deals.
- Schedule and host subject‑matter‑expert calls and home office visits in the absence of external recruiters.
- Prepare presenters for subject‑matter‑expert calls and home office visits.
- Research and maintain territory‑specific competitive intelligence.
- 5+ years in sales, sales enablement, advanced markets, or marketing roles within the financial services industry.
- Ability to navigate a CTI (Computer Telephony Integration).
- Ability to work with CRMs, e.g., Salesforce.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Web Ex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Some business travel (10%) with increased travel if outside the San Diego or Charlotte markets.
- Excellent speaking, listening, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skill set.
- Active student of industry trends and knowledge of various industry developments.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Series 7 & 66 licenses.
- Financial Services experience.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.

The pay salary range is inclusive of base salary and potential sales incentive compensation based upon the applicable incentive compensation plan for this position. Incentive compensation is dependent on achievement of goals set forth in the plan.
