Role Overview

This role focuses on sales account development within the Public Sector organization, driving sales, increasing brand awareness, and growing a specific geographic territory.

Location

This position allows you to work from home in Colorado. Requires at least 50% of time conducting sales activities outside of the office.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers via cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • After winning new business, manage customer relationships to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue, and acquire additional business.
  • Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics, and time frames to maximize revenue. Take ownership of the geographic territory designated by management.
  • Continuously learn and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points, enhancing expertise in the company's products and solutions.
  • Utilize Siebel &  to provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Industry Public Sector sales experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience in solution selling IP, data, and voice network services.
  • Proven experience in hunting, prospecting, and new account development.
  • Experience with  preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills, with an ability to sell to the close.
  • Self‑motivated, pro‑active, results‑oriented professional with the ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Proficient in MS Office products:
    Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Requires at least 50% of time conducting sales activities outside of the office.
Compensation

Base salary range: $80,775 – $107,690 (CO). Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Lumen offers a comprehensive package featuring health, life, voluntary lifestyle benefits, and other perks. Bonus structure includes short‑term and long‑term incentives and/or sales compensation.
