Inorganic (AA ICP ICP-MS) Growth Specialist – Field Remote (MO, IA, MN, ND, SD, NE)
OverviewWe are seeking an AA, ICP, and ICP/MS sales professional responsible for Perkin Elmer’s Inorganic product lines within the Analytical Solutions Group. The role includes presenting Perkin Elmer capabilities in the marketplace, providing an interface to the customer, and representing Perkin Elmer products and services in an assigned territory.
Responsibilities- Grow sales volume by executing a sales plan that aligns with regional and company strategic objectives.
- Manage existing customer accounts and identify new targeted accounts to improve market share and profitability.
- Participate in trade shows and other marketing events to promote product lines.
- Develop and implement business plans for each product line to ensure fair representation and meet compensation margin goals.
- Maintain effective time and territory management, including presenting technical information, identifying customer needs and trends, promoting Perkin Elmer support services, and keeping customer information up to date in the approved CRM system.
- Facilitate solving customer problems by recommending solutions based on competitive offerings and market dynamics.
- Work closely with the regional extended sales team, service team, product specialists, and business units to promote high levels of customer service.
- Provide local support for planned customer events throughout the year.
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- 3–5 years direct sales experience selling analytical instrumentation or laboratory experience related to the products.
- In‑depth knowledge of the capital equipment sales cycle and a working understanding of Inorganic (AA, ICP, and ICP/MS) products.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Knowledge of business factors affecting account profitability and competitive status as well as laboratory operations.
- Experience with analytical laboratory software and instruments.
- Experience working in a laboratory utilizing Inorganic instrumentation.
Annual compensation range: $90,000 to $120,000 + commission. The final base pay will be determined by internal equity, work location, and individual qualifications such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Company‑provided vehicle for personal use, laptop, and cell phone. The role requires overnight travel approximately 50% of the time.
