Sales Support (C‑KAS) leads the administrative relationship with assigned accounts. Responsibilities include analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support decision‑making. This role manages tender management, spot rate inquiry, cargo moves without filed rates, contract exception management, contract creation, and amendments. It also develops, qualifies, and administers sales leads and executes commercial strategies through customer engagement.
Additional Responsibilities- Analyze sales data and handle rate inquiries to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
- Ensure customer inquiries are completed with essential contract information such as volume, validity, commodity, and port pairs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to forecast sales targets and track performance against goals.
- Review, translate, and file customer agreements correctly.
- Analyze demurrage, detention, and TPB actual usage and address potential contracting errors to billing.
- Participate in sales calls with C‑KAM/S‑KAM and prepare meeting materials.
- Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in sales analysis, market research, or business intelligence, preferably in the logistics or shipping industry.
- Ability to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated capability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to successfully strategize, implement, execute, and achieve day‑to‑day commercial plans to meet departmental goals.
- Skilled in all facets of the sales support process: contract creation and amendments, rate and bid request submissions, customer‑related reporting, and problem‑solving.
- Track record of assisting the outside sales team (C‑KAM) in establishing goals and metrics for their customer base to meet or exceed targets.
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence counterpart levels within the client organization.
- Professional and personal demeanor with the ability to build rapport across varying personality types.
- Ambitious and self‑motivated.
3+ years of commercial experience in container shipping or logistics; proven experience independently solving complex problems; documented history of managing and consuming data through commonly recognized BI platforms.
RequiredMinimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
