Role Description

The Outside Sales Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Saginaw, MI, with opportunities for some work from home. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business, visiting clients and prospects, and conducting in-person and virtual sales presentations to showcase tile solutions. The consultant will build and maintain strong relationships with our existing dealer base, architects and designers, contractors and builders, providing consultative guidance on product selection, design options, and project needs.

Daily responsibilities include generating leads, managing a sales pipeline, following up on inquiries, and coordinating with showroom staff to ensure a seamless customer experience. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge, monitoring market trends, and representing Beaver Tile and Stone at industry events or customer meetings as needed.

Qualifications
  • Strong sales and consultative selling skills, including effective sales presentations and solution-focused recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for building trust and managing long-term client relationships.
  • Experience with lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management in a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with showroom and internal teams.
  • Prior experience in building materials, tile, flooring, or related industries is preferred.
  • Comfort with a hybrid work arrangement, including travel within the assigned territory.
  • Basic proficiency with CRM tools, email, and standard office software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits and site meetings.
