Role Description

This is a part‑time hybrid role for a Sales and Marketing Intern. The position is located in Toronto, ON, with work from home acceptable. The intern will be responsible for supporting sales and marketing efforts, including customer service, communication with clients, sales activities, and managing social media accounts.

  • To conduct research and develop contacts and generate leads to promote our work
  • Maintaining and actively updating all pre‑sessional social media channels
  • Actively publicizing events through social media and weekly e‑mails
  • Attending networking meetings, taking photographs and videos
Person specification
  • Passion, knowledge and skills for social impact, and online and offline marketing
  • Experience of developing content in digital forms, including social media
  • Experience of photography and video work (Desirable)
  • A great desire to learn negotiation, selling, networking skills with opportunity to implement sales and marketing strategies that ultimately achieve revenue goals
  • Able to work in an entrepreneurial growth environment. Energetic. Resource and cost efficient
  • Personal passion for social enterprise
  • A pro‑active, hands‑on individual able to command respect of the entire organization through leadership, intelligence and hard work
  • A great desire to learn how to sell and make the pitch

Please be advised that this is unpaid internship with potential to progress to a more formal role. This fantastic opportunity will give first‑hand exposure to the social enterprise sector and a full industry education with one of the pioneers in disruptive economy.
