Position: Outside Sales Account Manager (Multi-Family) Mobile, AL

Outside Sales Account Manager – Multi‑Family Housing Accounts

Location:

Mobile, Orange Beach, Spanish Fort and surrounding areas. Must reside within the territory and be a resident of the specified state(s).

Job Summary

Drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing customers, and expanding opportunities with current customers in multi‑family housing communities to meet yearly sales goals.

Responsibilities
  • Sell MRO supplies and related products to an established portfolio of multi‑family housing (apartment community) customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all organizational levels.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers to expand and diversify the customer base.
  • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area.
  • Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Attend monthly business meetings for company‑sponsored associations, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities as necessary.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of B2B field sales experience, preferably direct sales to multi‑family communities and facilities maintenance customers.
  • Experience selling to HD Supply facility customers and industry products; familiarity with a large volume of product lines.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with handheld technology.
  • Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, and more.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce (or similar CRM).
  • Experience with consultative/solution selling preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an advantage.
Additional Requirements
  • Must operate a personal vehicle; a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be required. Acceptable MVR report is a condition of employment.
  • Travel in the territory and occasional overnight travel (≤10%).
  • Able to lift or handle material or equipment weighing 8–20 pounds.
Education and Experience

BS/BA in a related discipline. Typically 2–5 years of experience in a related field. Advanced degrees (MS/MA) acceptable with 2–4 years of experience.
