Why This Role Matters
As the Inbound Sales Representative, you will build and maintain business relationships with advisors who market our products and services. You will respond to agent and broker inquiries received via inbound calls, providing information on product features, performance, literature requests, and hypothetical illustrations. Your work will help advisors deliver the right solutions to their clients and meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
HowYou’ll Contribute
- Serve as the first line of client‑facing contact on incoming calls, phone sales, and support.
- Field inbound calls from Delaware Life toll‑free lines and prioritize ACD Q calls.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities and reinforce the Delaware Life brand with callers.
- Generate illustrations and webinars from incoming calls.
- Assist and participate in DLM’s marketing campaigns to support external and internal wholesalers.
- Resolve client concerns and respond to voicemail/email broker requests.
- Fulfill literature requests and maintain the broker database’s integrity.
- Provide product and illustration sales support, answer product and rate questions, and fulfill requests for marketing collateral, application kits, and hypothetical illustrations.
- Serve as a troubleshooter for advisors on product and process issues, referring them to appropriate resources when necessary.
- Document activity in Salesforce (CRM), including appointments, sales calls, follow‑ups, call campaigns, and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with other home office departments to support inbound telephone queue operations.
- Demonstrate excellent listening skills to assess advisor needs and determine the type of sales support required.
- Keep the senior sales desk representative apprised of any training or development needs that will improve performance and growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned under limited direction.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of sales, marketing, or customer service experience in the financial services industry (preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
- Strong knowledge of annuity, insurance, or investment products (preferred).
- Active FINRA Series 6, 63, and State Life & Health licenses preferred or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present technical product knowledge professionally over the phone.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently, and perform under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent territory management, independence, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools;
Salesforce experience is a plus. - Strong problem‑solving, mathematical, and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
