Sales Professional - Outside Sales

Working from home, this role presents at‑need cemetery and pre‑need arrangement services and products to consumers. The Sales Professional is responsible for achieving monthly sales targets and building relationships within the community to generate qualified leads.

• Revenue Generation: Attain or exceed monthly sales revenue quota; present Dignity Memorial® Personal Planning Guide electronic presentations; influence consumers on benefits of pre‑planning; guide prospects through cemetery grounds or crematory mausoleums; provide service beyond expectations and promote SCI Brand and service excellence; complete contracts and follow up on outstanding documents and questions.
• Prospecting: Initiate leads in community, professional networks, civic, businesses, and organizations; prospect at least 50% of workday via face‑to‑face events, door‑knocking, or seminars; maintain and track activity in CRM; work nights and weekends; obtain referrals from after‑care visits; schedule sales appointments; prepare marketing materials or cultural knowledge for appointments.
• Build Relationships with Families: Establish and maintain professional, service‑oriented relationships; resolve concerns, meet commitments; connect through listening, honest communication, genuine concern; support families in time of grief with acts of kindness; attend services and/or receptions; serve as a continuous link from services at need, through aftercare, to future services.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with management and staff to provide high quality services and improve processes; share family concerns with the SCI team.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• License: Funeral Directors License where required by state law;
  Life Insurance license where required, company will support obtaining licensing.
• Driver’s License: Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience: Sales experience preferred; industry experience a plus; prior experience with CRM systems a plus.

• Computer and technology skills.
• Goal‑oriented, self‑starter.
• Public speaking ability; comfortable presenting to small groups.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Ability to work a significant number of evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual is a plus.

The estimated total target compensation for this position in the first year typically ranges from $50,000 to $100,000 annually based on a strong commission‑based incentive structure. In subsequent years, sales professionals commonly earn $100,000 to $150,000 or more annually. Actual compensation will vary based on performance. (
