Job Description
Emerson is seeking a District Sales Manager (DSM) based in the Jacksonville area to lead and grow an established territory covering Industrial Automation customers and channel partners across the Florida peninsula, the panhandle, and South Georgia from Macon South.
Responsibilities Sales Execution- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and market trends, capitalizing on them to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline, focusing on new customer acquisition, opportunity creation, and closure.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of the competition.
- Actively engage channel partners with a focus on sales and market share growth; hold them accountable for sales targets, activity levels, and joint business development plans.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing key customers.
- Understand customer needs, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions aligned with their requirements.
- Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activity, customer feedback, and factory automation market trend analysis.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting process.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies related to FLMC.
- Collaborate with the FA Business Manager to align new product development with evolving market needs and technological demands.
- Develop a deep understanding of the FLMC product portfolio supporting industrial automation industries.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers, showcasing the value proposition of Emerson's products and solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of related sales experience.
- Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust, and close deals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- CRM experience.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Willingness and ability to travel 25%–35%.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Salesforce experience.
- Automation sales experience.
- Mechanical, electrical, or fluid power technical aptitude.
Sitting, walking, talking in person and by phone or video, traveling by car, plane, and/or train. Extensive use of computer equipment and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.

Benefits & CompensationSalary range: $90,000 – $105,000 annually plus sales bonus, commensurate with skills, talent, capabilities, and experience.
