Job Overview

Sales Representative – End User –

Location:

Charlotte, NC or surrounding area.

ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in door opening solutions dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and accessible building environment. This role focuses on servicing customers in healthcare, educational, military, and commercial building settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Call on Facility Managers, Security Directors, IT Directors, and Construction and Planning Departments within end‑user accounts.
  • Partner with local selling partners including wholesalers, integrators, locksmiths, and distributors to maximize impact with end‑user accounts.
  • Sell door opening solutions as a consultant using a communication approach effective with diverse audiences.
  • Develop short‑ and long‑term sales plans and identify sales potential for each client.
  • Establish a network of trusted clients, developing relationships quickly and easily.
  • Apply discovery abilities (prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, presenting solutions).
Qualifications
  • Entrepreneurial spirit excited about selling door opening solutions.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and known for follow‑up habits.
  • Self‑motivated, a strong communicator, active listener, and negotiator.
  • Multi‑tasker capable of managing time and projects proficiently.
  • Ability to work independently while valuing teamwork.
  • Read, understand specifications/facility standards, and possess industry‑related technical and sales aptitude.
  • Ability to travel and meet customers as required.
  • Can perform responsibilities both in a home office and while traveling.
  • Capability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sales presentations.
Education and Experience
  • College/University degree preferred (e.g., architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar); high school/GED with commensurate experience acceptable.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience, with building material or construction‑related experience preferred; 5+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • Working knowledge of industry‑related software is a plus.
