What you’ll be doing- Hunt for new commercial accounts through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and site visits — this is your territory to build
- Conduct site surveys and develop accurate estimates for alarm, IP surveillance, and access control projects
- Prepare and present proposals to business owners, property managers, and facilities directors
- Follow up on company‑provided leads and convert them into happy clients
- Work hand‑in‑hand with our installation crew for a seamless handoff every time
- Keep your pipeline organized and share regular updates with the team
- We can teach products — we can’t teach drive. If you’ve got the hunger to find business and the experience to back it up, we want to meet you.
- 2+ years of outside sales experience in security, low‑voltage, AV, IT, or a related field
- Real knowledge of alarm systems, IP surveillance/CCTV, access control, or similar tech
- Experience estimating jobs and building professional proposals from scratch
- A proven track record of prospecting — you make calls, knock on doors, and build relationships
- Comfortable with commercial decision‑makers: owners, property managers, facilities teams
- Self‑managed and goal‑oriented — you don’t wait to be told what to do
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with brands like Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, or Lenel
- Experience selling service agreements or recurring contracts
- Existing relationships with commercial clients in CT or the NY metro area
