Backyard Products is an international leader in the residential backyard space, specializing in playsets, sheds, and outdoor structures. We are seeking an Associate Account Manager to support and grow our National Accounts within major big‑box retail partners.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long‑term career in sales at a growing company, gain exposure to senior retail buyers, and work cross‑functionally with product, marketing, and leadership teams.
What You’ll DoAs a Associate Account Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and expanding existing retail partnerships while helping drive profitable growth. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for retailer partners and represent Backyard Products with professionalism and confidence.
Client & Buyer Relationship Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer buyers and key decision‑makers
- Lead and participate in regular meetings to understand customer needs and identify incremental growth opportunities
- Set, track, and manage sales goals
- Help develop and execute sales strategies that support revenue and EBITDA growth
- Identify new and organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Partner closely with Product Development, Demand Planning, and Marketing to support product launches and promotional strategies
- Collaborate with Demand Planning to develop accurate forecasts using historical data, market trends, and promotional plans
- Prepare and present regular account performance updates to leadership
- Develop polished PowerPoint presentations for both internal and external audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in Sales Operations or a sales support role
- Big‑box or club retail experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, goal‑oriented approach
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed
- 1 day work from home; 4 days in‑office per week to collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and leadership teams
- Overnight travel required as needed
