Responsibilities
- Market, position, and sell Guardian’s entire Group Benefits portfolio products and technology solutions to your designated brokers, including Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence, and Supplemental Health products.
- Support the general well‑being of the broker and client relationship to develop and grow Guardian sales and client retention.
- Understand territory dynamics to build, develop and maintain broker relationships to grow the book of business while representing Guardian’s vision to inspire well‑being.
- Be accountable for consistently achieving or exceeding personal sales production expectations by having a clear understanding of products.
- Identify, recommend and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to increase sales of product offerings.
- Achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain the license through completing Continuing Education requirements.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to consistently achieve or exceed personal sales production expectations established by management, as stated in the Market business plan and consistent with Group Profit Center objectives.
- Soft skills:
Collaborative team player who can effectively build rapport in person and virtually, exercise sound judgment and integrity in a changing, matrixed, and fast‑paced environment, exude confidence, positivity, and proactivity, and act with accountability to deliver on commitments with speed and quality.
The successful hire will be based in one of the following Guardian Offices:
Boston, MA;
Bethlehem, PA; or New York, NY. The work arrangement will be hybrid (combination of in‑office and work from home). Up to 15% travel within the assigned territory.
Salary Range: $35,000. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
