DescriptionOur client, a nationally ranked leader in digital performance marketing, is seeking a Business Development Specialist, Strategic Partnerships, to join their sales team. This individual contributor role focuses on identifying and qualifying prospective strategic brand partners through outbound prospecting, relationship building with mid‑market and enterprise decision‑makers, and generating qualified partnership opportunities for leadership. The ideal candidate has experience in business development or similar roles for a digital marketing, performance marketing, affiliate marketing, or digital advertising agency and is highly motivated, tech‑savvy, and comfortable managing high‑volume outreach while handling multiple opportunities.
Responsibilities- Research target companies and strategic brand partners for outbound prospecting efforts.
- Execute outbound prospecting through cold calling, email campaigns, and Linked In networking.
- Build relationships with prospective partners across targeted industry verticals.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities and schedule discovery meetings for leadership.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities.
- Conduct meaningful conversations with executive‑level stakeholders.
- Manage and update CRM records to ensure accurate tracking of prospect activity and engagement.
- Research industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine outreach messaging, sales materials, and prospecting strategies.
- Track activity metrics and pipeline performance to support business growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
- Work independently to manage priorities, drive activity, and achieve performance goals.
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience for a digital marketing agency.
- Experience calling on mid‑market or larger‑sized organizations.
- Experience with outbound prospecting, including cold calling and Linked In prospecting.
- Experience generating qualified opportunities through business development efforts.
- Tech savvy, including CRM proficiency.
- Ability to travel 25% for trade shows, client visits, conferences & quarterly travel to PA.
