As a Diplomatic Sales Representative within the Sales Department, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with members of the international diplomatic community throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This is a full-time, remote position with a home-office base; however, the role requires daily in-person meetings with clients to build and strengthen professional relationships. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, maintain strong client partnerships, and serve as the primary point of contact for embassies, consulates, international organizations, and diplomatic personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Develop, cultivate, and maintain professional relationships with members of the international diplomatic community, including embassies, consulates, and international organizations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Conduct daily face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing clients to identify business opportunities, present products and services, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Prospect and generate new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and relationship-building activities.
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings, networking events, diplomatic functions, and other business development opportunities.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of client visits to ensure strong engagement and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations tailored to the unique needs of diplomatic and international clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company's products and services to effectively communicate value and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, accurately tracking leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities using the company's CRM system.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals, performance metrics, and revenue targets.
- Identify customer needs, respond to inquiries promptly, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely communication, order fulfillment, and a seamless customer experience.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and developments affecting the international diplomatic community to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates for management as requested.
- Attend required training sessions, team meetings, and occasional in-office meetings to remain informed of company initiatives and sales strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with diplomatic clients and handling sensitive business information.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the Sales Department and organizational objectives.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling techniques and relationship management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to establish credibility and build long-term relationships with diverse cultural and international stakeholders.
- Knowledge of diplomatic protocol or international business practices is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and persuasion skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple client accounts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining productivity in a remote work environment.
