Overview
National Sales Director – Empower
The primary role is to increase sales within key dealer‑firms, building and managing strong relationships with senior B‑D home‑office sales, product, and marketing executives. The Director develops targeted campaigns and attends industry conferences, serving as a subject matter expert on Empower solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a business plan to drive sales through key dealer‑firms.
- Communicate via face‑to‑face, phone, email, webinars, conferences, and other appropriate channels with senior executives in the most substantial defined‑contribution dealer‑firms.
- Drive growth by working closely with Empower and Empower Investment Sales and Product teams.
- Serve as the main contact and facilitator for dealer‑firm requests and initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal partners and leverage senior management to enhance marketplace relationships.
- Attend dealer‑firm and industry conferences, seeking speaking engagements as a subject matter expert.
- Conduct dealer‑firm affiliated sales‑desk and field‑level sales and support activities.
- Travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays, to meet with key parties in assigned distribution channels.
- BA/BS degree.
- FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations required within corporate‑established timelines; FINRA fingerprinting required.
- Ten years of directly related work experience in defined‑contribution administration, communications, and investments.
- Strong, reputable relationships with key consulting firms and their internal decision makers.
- In‑depth knowledge of retirement plan markets, investment products, capital markets, and portfolio theory.
- Ability to communicate the benefits of Empower products in a confident and compelling manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
- Professional office environment experience; proficiency with standard office equipment.
