Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Sales Staff role based in Virginia Beach, VA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Staff member will assist customers in the store and remotely by answering questions, identifying needs, and recommending appropriate products. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers, explaining product features and benefits, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor. The role also involves handling phone and online inquiries, updating customer records, and supporting inventory management activities such as restocking and product display.

The Sales Staff member will collaborate with the team to meet sales goals, participate in promotions, and provide consistent, friendly service in person and through digital channels.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and online.
• Basic sales and retail knowledge, including experience with point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and add-on selling or upselling.
• Ability to learn and retain product information, explain features and benefits, and guide customers to appropriate solutions.
• Comfort with hybrid work, including reliable internet access and the ability to manage tasks both on-site and from home.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail when handling transactions, stock, and customer records.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods, lift and move products as needed, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Prior experience in retail, gardening, hydroponics, or related fields is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, along with a commitment to punctuality, reliability, and teamwork.
