Overview

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Editor to join our team. The role focuses on building relationships, exceeding goals, and partnering with educators to develop engaging educational materials.

This position requires living in or near Tampa, Gainesville, or Orlando, FL and involves seven weeks of travel per semester. Travel is alternating with weeks spent working from a home office and a full week on college campuses.

• Interview, listen for business potential, and persuade select candidates to work with the company by partnering with subject-matter experts.
• Call and travel to colleges and universities within your territory to identify business opportunities and interview professor candidates.
• Persuade author candidates who can develop interactive and engaging materials to meet student needs and make an impact on their college careers.
• Collaborate with educators responsible for lower-level, high-enrollment courses to expand Kendall Hunt’s educational offerings.
