Key Account Manager – Water and Wastewater Monitoring

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to oversee sales activities within the Mid‑Atlantic territory for ADS, focusing on municipal wastewater and consulting engineering customers.

• Manage sales activities in a specific sales region, generating leads, writing proposals and quotes.
• Lead proposal presentations and develop presentation materials.
• Develop pricing strategies, negotiate and procure sales contracts, and deliver signed contracts to Operations.
• Develop new ADS accounts and devise strategies to meet individual client needs.
• Participate in local industry associations and present technical presentations at conferences and sales seminars.
• Achieve and exceed individual revenue thresholds while maintaining and growing margins by working with Operations managers to develop competitive pricing.
• Follow up on leads generated through corporate and regional efforts.
• Report daily and weekly in the CRM database regarding prospecting activities, schedules, opportunity management, and contract status.
• Abide by on‑job site safety requirements.
• Initiate project kick‑off meetings prior to project start‑up.
• Work closely with Operations to determine specific project requirements for costing and act as client interface.
• Assist in contract interpretation and initial legal review.
• Complete special projects as requested.

• B.S. or equivalent technical degree.
• Exposure to collection systems or open channel hydraulics preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of related direct sales experience, preferably with accounts within the territory.
• Ability to develop business from home using virtual presentation skills.
• Proven ability to promote concepts and acquire new accounts.
• Excellent written and oral communication and exceptional listening skills.
• Ability to build relationships and work well across functions with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Prior experience with sales management tracking databases preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of time on a weekly basis within the territory.
• Effective time‑management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.

The compensation range for this position is $78,200–$117,200, depending on experience. The position may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus plan.
