About the Role
At Thomson Reuters, we provide intelligent information to professionals across legal, tax, accounting, compliance, government, and media markets. The Sponsorship Sales Manager is responsible for business development within the Legal Media Group segment, focusing on identifying new opportunities, pitching and closing deals, negotiating contracts, and managing key customer relationships.
Responsibilities- Initiate and develop new business opportunities in the Legal Media Group market segment.
- Pitch, negotiate, and close sponsorship sales throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Conduct cold calls and communicate the value proposition clearly and concisely to prospects.
- Deliver high‑quality presentations using both in‑person and virtual go‑to‑market tools.
- Identify customers’ pain points quickly and recommend suitable solutions to create win‑win outcomes.
- Build strong customer relationships, providing exceptional service and understanding commercial objectives.
- Provide accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to the head of department.
- Monitor market trends, identify patterns, and produce a quarterly report on observations.
- Collaborate with product and support teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Manage account risks, territory plans, and overall account health.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate B2B media (events or publishing) and sponsorship sales.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English; additional Asian language skills are advantageous.
- Experience with legal, compliance, risk, or regulatory communities in Asia is advantageous.
- Experience handling Asian‑based B2B customers is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Hybrid work model (2‑3 days a week in office, with up to 8 weeks of work from anywhere).
