Sales Representative, Architectural

Position Overview

Architectural Sales Representative responsible for advising architectural professionals on door opening solutions and maximizing sales opportunities through the use of Openings Studio and other tools.

• Work closely with architectural design teams to advise on door and hardware specifications using Openings Studio.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
• Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
• Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
• Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design‑assist professional services.
• Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are retained in the bid process.
• Utilize  as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.
• Work alongside a committed team of professionals who provide specification support to top architectural firms.
• Serve as the point‑of‑contact for architects’ education, specification, client satisfaction and technical support needs.
• Take responsibility for architectural development, project tracking and gain approval for internal writers to prepare Division 08 door and hardware specification documents.
• Promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value‑added professional services.

• Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment and while traveling.
• Can lift/carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material for sale presentations.

• College/University degree preferred in architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar; high school/GED diploma acceptable with equivalent work experience.
• At least 2–3 years of industry‑related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or design‑build construction management considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience utilizing and maintaining CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
• Working knowledge of industry‑related software a plus.
