Sales Territory Coverage- This role manages a territory primarily covering most of the state of Florida, with flexibility to expand based on business needs.
- Following onboarding, this role follows a hybrid work schedule, balancing travel within the territory for dealer visits with home office‑based work.
- This structure supports consistent customer engagement and effective territory management. Candidates must be comfortable with regular regional travel.
- Preferred candidates will reside within or in close proximity to the assigned territory.
Furst‑McNess Company is seeking a motivated and results‑driven Territory Sales Representative to support and grow our dealer network business within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with dealers and customers, identifying new business opportunities, increasing sales across product lines, and serving as a trusted resource for the company’s products, programs, and services. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who enjoys working independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams, dealers, and customers to achieve shared goals.
Success in this role requires strong relationship‑building skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a team‑oriented environment while driving business growth through proactive territory management and customer engagement.
- Develop and grow sales within an assigned territory through dealer, distributor, and customer relationships
- Identify, recruit, and support dealer partners to expand market presence
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers while actively pursuing new business opportunities
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to support customer success and business growth
- Meet or exceed sales, profitability, and growth objectives
- Conduct on‑site customer visits, product presentations, and sales consultations
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity and communicate insights to management
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and territory reports
- Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on inquiries, opportunities, and customer needs
- Represent Furst‑McNess at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, or a related field preferred; equivalent sales experience will be considered
- Proven success in territory sales, dealer sales, business development, or customer‑facing sales roles
- Strong relationship‑building, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage a sales territory effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
