The Account Manager is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Salem, OR, with flexibility for part‑time work from home. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for ongoing service, project coordination, and relationship growth. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include understanding client needs, preparing proposals and quotes, coordinating with internal operations and technical teams, and ensuring timely delivery of fire, security, and integration solutions.
The Account Manager monitors contract performance, addresses customer issues, and identifies opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling services. This role also maintains accurate account records, participates in regular account reviews, and supports forecasting and reporting activities to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
- Account management and customer relationship skills, including experience serving as a primary client contact and managing multiple accounts.
- Sales and business development capabilities, such as identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and negotiating terms within established guidelines.
- Organizational and project coordination skills, including managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly, respond to customer inquiries, and build trust with stakeholders.
- Basic technical aptitude related to fire, security, or integration systems, or willingness to learn industry‑specific technologies and standards.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and account tracking.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on‑site visits in Salem, OR with remote work while maintaining responsiveness to customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Prior experience in security, fire protection, building systems, or related technology services is preferred but not required.
