Inside Sales Account Specialist

Location:

Austin, Texas

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Account Specialist protects and grows existing revenues, maximizes HID's installed base market share, and strengthens product selection policies through strategic customer engagement across North America. The role develops and maintains relationships with existing and prospective customers, identifies new project opportunities, and drives sales growth through proactive account management. It requires effective pipeline management, opportunity qualification, sales execution, and customer support while serving as a trusted advisor to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Introducing and selling HID products and solutions to new and existing customers while achieving individual and team sales quotas.
  • Building, maintaining, and managing a robust sales pipeline utilizing Salesforce to document customer interactions, commitments, and opportunities.
  • Conducting sales activities, negotiating commercial terms, and successfully closing business opportunities.
  • Identifying customer requirements and delivering product presentations aligned to business needs.
  • Managing inbound inquiries, requests for information, and quotation requests from website, email, and phone channels within assigned territory.
  • Maintaining extensive knowledge of HID products and services to support effective customer engagement and solution selling.
  • Providing timely customer follow-up to ensure satisfaction and resolution of issues.
  • Taking ownership of customer concerns and utilizing internal resources to resolve open issues.
  • Developing product awareness and generating demand within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Supporting market planning initiatives and providing input on sales and growth strategies.
  • Researching, identifying, and engaging prospective customers and key decision makers.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships across multiple organizational levels.
  • Listening actively and assessing customer business needs to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Communicating customer requirements effectively to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to learning, process improvement, and professional development.
  • Contributing to ongoing enhancement of sales processes and best practices.
  • Maintaining accurate sales forecasting and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in sales, territory management, customer service, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
  • Strong sales, prospecting, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short‑term and long‑term deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and contact management databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, standards, and related documentation.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred.
  • 4+ years of sales experience within the Access Control marketplace is preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and related technologies is preferred.
