Job Summary
Senior Regional Sales Manager (SRSM) – Medtronic Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery System. Responsible for leading a regional capital sales team, selling robotic surgical systems, consumables, and service contracts across the U.S. West Region (California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas). Remote position with requirement to reside in the region and travel 50‑75% of time.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of capital sales specialists; coach and develop team performance.
- Drive sales of the Medtronic Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery System, consumable end effectors, and service contracts using the SPANCO methodology.
- Develop and execute regional market development plans, including market research, competitive analysis, and business case development for hospitals.
- Engage surgeon teams, KOLs, decision makers, and budget holders; create business cases, TCO analyses, and cost‑per‑procedure justification.
- Structure and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close complex multi‑year agreements.
- Represent the Surgical Robotics operating unit on the Medtronic regional management team; report to the US Director of Sales.
- Maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, radiology and surgical staff.
- Travel 50‑75% of time within the assigned region.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree accepted with reduced years requirements.
- Minimum 7 years of capital sales experience in healthcare, with at least 3 years of people‑leadership; or 5 years of capital sales with 2 years of leadership if holding an advanced degree.
- Experience managing long‑cycle negotiations and building high‑performance sales teams.
- Deep knowledge of open, minimally invasive, and robotic‑assisted surgery.
- Strong negotiation, contract development, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel and work independently in a large U.S. region.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to drive to multiple accounts.
