National Key Account Manager - Switzerland

Location and Working Environment
  • This position is a field-based opportunity in Wallisellen, Switzerland.
  • Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines allow a hybrid working solution, enabling time to connect with colleagues at the office with flexibility to also work from home. Hybrid work from certain locations may be permitted in accordance with the guidelines.
Purpose & Scope
  • As National Key Account Manager Switzerland, you will navigate complex account ecosystems, build long‑term relationships with stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities that align with Astellas’ goals. This role requires deep industry knowledge, especially within hematology, oncology, immunology, or rare diseases.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals, hospital networks, and key stakeholders within assigned accounts to grow market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and execute territory‑specific account plans based on a thorough understanding of the local hematology landscape, particularly AML.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and other Oncology KAMs as well as other internal teams to align efforts and maximize impact.
  • Drive educational initiatives, in‑service trainings, and product presentations to support appropriate product use and improved patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local market dynamics, treatment pathways, and patient journeys.
  • Analyze account data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities, gaps, and required actions.
  • Ensure activities comply with relevant company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in hematology, oncology, immunology, rare diseases or similar therapeutic areas.
  • Proven experience in key account management, with ownership of a defined territory.
  • Strong understanding of account ecosystems, including clinical decision‑making processes, hospital formularies, procurement, and pathway management.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder networks, including key opinion leaders, oncologists, pharmacists, and payers.
  • Fluent German and French mandatory, with Italian or English in addition.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience selling products in Oncology.
  • Experience in Hematology is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in launching products or driving uptake in specialized therapeutic areas.
  • Previous Key Account Manager experience.
  • High level of scientific acumen, strategic thinking, and commercial drive.
