We’re looking for a motivated and scientifically driven Senior Sales Executive – Diagnostics to support the expansion of LaCAR’s genetics portfolio into the U.S. market.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our commercial growth by identifying new opportunities, opening new customer accounts, and building strong relationships across the diagnostics community. You’ll gather valuable market intelligence, uncover customer needs, and translate your insights into actionable commercial opportunities.
As a natural hunter, you thrive on prospecting, navigating new markets, and creating opportunities from the ground up. Working closely with our Sales Manager and Genetic Diagnostics Portfolio Manager, you’ll help shape our commercial strategy while contributing directly to the successful growth of our diagnostics business in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:
This is a hybrid, build from scratch role, combining hands on sales execution with market and portfolio development activities.
Sales & Business Development
- Build and develop LaCAR’s genetics business in the US, starting with the commercial launch of our pharmacogenetics solutions.
- Build and develop the genetics customer base from scratch.
- Proactively identify, target, and engage potential customers across clinical laboratories, hospitals, reference labs, and other diagnostic stakeholders.
- Conduct high-frequency outreach (meetings, calls, site visits) to introduce LaCAR and its innovative SNP detection solutions to the U.S. diagnostics market
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, CRM management, needs assessment, negotiation, closing, and follow up.
- Operate as a standalone commercial leader in the territory, independently driving all sales and business development activities. [LC1.1]
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and early adopters.
- Represent the company at key industry conferences and congresses to increase visibility and generate new opportunities.
- Establish and maintain active relationships with patient associations and advocacy groups to better understand patient needs and ecosystem dynamics.
Market Development & Insights
- Act as the voice of the customer, systematically collecting insights from the field to better understand market needs and expectations.
- Gather structured feedback on customer needs, workflows, decision criteria, and unmet needs.
- Assess which genetics products from LaCAR’s European portfolio are relevant for the US market.
- Share clear, actionable market insights and recommendations with the Genetic Diagnostics Portfolio Manager.

, positioning LaCAR to enter the U.S. market with innovative, compliant, and high-impact diagnostic tools.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in sales or business development within the diagnostics or healthcare sector in the U.S.
- Demonstrated experience successfully operating in the U.S. diagnostics market, with a strong understanding of laboratory environments and workflows. This includes an experience of validation processes and studies.
- Solid knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including reimbursement pathways, funding mechanisms, and decision-making processes, with proven hands-on experience navigating these aspects. A good understanding of LDTs in clinical reference lab and how to navigate this environment is a plus.
- Proven track record in prospecting, opening new accounts, and building pipelines from scratch, especially prospecting clinical reference labs, Oncology Centers and Genetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a high level of autonomy, resilience, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.

FLSA Status:
Full Time, Exempt.
Hybrid In-Office/Work from home. Office location in Durham, NC, USA.
Travel, domestic and international, up to 50-70% total time
