Location: Fraser, MI (Onsite Preferred) | Remote Considered for Exceptional Candidates

Compensation

• Base Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 annually (DOE)
• Uncapped commission structure.
• First-Year On-Target Earnings (OTE): $90,000 - $140,000+.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a proven Sales Executive with freight brokerage experience and a true hunter mentality to drive new business growth.

This is a pure business development role focused on prospecting, cold calling, and closing new freight opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new customers while partnering with an experienced Operations team that manages shipment execution after the sale, allowing you to focus on building relationships and driving revenue.

This position is ideal for an ambitious sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, commission-driven environment and enjoys the challenge of winning new business.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and outbound prospecting.
• Make approximately 80–100 outbound prospecting calls each day.
• Sell Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), and small parcel transportation solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipping decision-makers and key stakeholders.
• Prepare pricing proposals, negotiate freight rates, and close new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with the internal Operations team to ensure a seamless transition after each sale.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales activity and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of successful freight brokerage sales experience.
• Current or recent book of business generating at least $20,000 per month in gross profit.
• Strong experience selling Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) transportation services.
• Proven history of maintaining target margins of 15%+ on LTL and 10%+ on Truckload shipments.
• Demonstrated success acquiring new customers through cold calling and outbound prospecting.
• Comfortable making 80–100 outbound prospecting calls daily.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Hub Spot, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Experience selling small parcel services (UPS, Fed Ex, USPS, DHL) is a plus.
