Through direct relationships with artisans, quarries, and factories worldwide, Rock Mill develops distinctive traditional and contemporary collections for residential and commercial projects. The company operates four design showrooms in California and partners with select showrooms across the United States to showcase its collections.
The Sales Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the Sales Specialist engages with design professionals, architects, and retail clients to present Rock Mill’s collections, understand project requirements, and recommend products and finishes that meet client needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, providing detailed product information and pricing, preparing and following up on quotes, and coordinating orders with the fabrication shop and logistics teams.
The Sales Specialist will conduct architectural presentations, support design consultations, and collaborate with Rock Mill Architectural Sales Consultants on domestic and international projects. This role also involves maintaining strong customer relationships, handling service inquiries, and contributing to sales reporting and performance goals.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, professionalism, and relationship building.
- Proven Sales skills, including consultative selling, opportunity development, and closing deals in a B2B or design-driven environment.
- Experience with Training and Sales Management, such as guiding team members, leading product trainings, or supporting showroom staff.
- Familiarity with architectural, design, or luxury building materials is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing showroom presence and remote tasks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in quotes, orders, and client follow-up.
- Comfort with basic CRM tools, email, and office productivity software; willingness to learn internal systems.
- Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in sales, design, architecture, or related fields.
