Better Life was formed in January 2021 after a merger of two companies with histories going back 124 years. It is a not‑for‑profit, member‑owned organization focused on closing the health and longevity gap in rural America. Our home office is in Madison, WI, and we are authorized to do business in more than 20 states.

As a Better Life Affiliated Agent, your primary responsibility is to help prospective members secure life insurance policies by creating a positive, timely and smooth sales process. You will also be involved with Better Life’s local member groups, receive sales and product training, have access to our leads program, and may participate in Better Life’s sponsored health insurance and 401(k) plan.

• Guiding individuals through the life insurance buying process using a consultative approach and building rapport to uncover the term life and final‑expense products that will best meet their needs.
• Facilitating the application process alongside our Member Services Team to ensure a timely delivery of an in‑force policy, whether fully underwritten or non‑medical.
• Using our CRM and digital systems to manage your workflow.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in sales, business, marketing or a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of experience selling in a fast‑paced, high‑transaction sales organization.
• Experience selling life insurance is preferred but not required.
• Active life insurance licenses (preferred) or the ability and willingness to obtain them after hire.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for connecting rural America with resources needed to build stronger communities.
