Job Description & How to Apply Below

Company Description AY Development is a Texas-based leader in construction and remodeling, known for combining functionality, craftsmanship, and timeless design. Since 2014, the company has delivered new builds and renovations that reflect each client’s individual vision, with a strong focus on detail, innovative design, and consistent quality. Projects range from custom homes to transformative remodels that enhance both livability and long-term value.

AY Development emphasizes on-time, on-budget delivery, open communication, and a collaborative, client-centered approach. The team is dedicated to creating spaces that feel enduring and meaningful, aiming to craft long-term legacies rather than simple structures.

Role Description This is a full-time Construction Sales Representative role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Construction Sales Representative will prospect and qualify leads, conduct site visits, and build relationships with homeowners, developers, and real estate partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand project goals, preparing and presenting proposals and estimates, and coordinating with project managers and designers to ensure accurate scopes of work.

The role involves managing the sales pipeline, following up on inquiries, tracking opportunities in a CRM, and supporting clients throughout the construction and remodeling process. The representative will also participate in local networking events, monitor market trends, and provide feedback to leadership on customer needs and competitive activity.

No previous construction sales experience? That's okay.

We provide paid, hands-on sales training to help you succeed. Our goal is to develop professionals who can confidently build relationships, earn clients' trust, and close high‑value residential construction projects.

During training, you'll learn:

  • Our sales process from the initial lead through contract signing.
  • How to build trust and communicate effectively with homeowners.
  • How to conduct in-home consultations and understand client needs.
  • Basic residential construction knowledge, including remodeling, additions, and custom homes.
  • How to present proposals, overcome objections, and negotiate professionally.
  • CRM, lead management, and follow-up strategies.
  • Time management and organization to maximize your sales opportunities.
  • Best practices for providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale.

You’ll also receive:

  • One-on-one coaching and mentorship.
  • Ride-alongs and real‑world sales experience.
  • Ongoing training and performance reviews to help you continuously improve.
  • Support from our team whenever you need guidance.

We are looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn. Sales techniques and construction knowledge can be taught—we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, builds trust naturally, and is motivated to grow.

If you're coachable, driven, and committed to becoming a top-performing sales professional, we'll invest in your success through paid training and continued development.

Qualifications

  • Strong client‑facing skills, including consultative selling, active listening, and the ability to build trust‑based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort using CRM tools and basic office software to manage leads, track opportunities, and maintain organized records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation, follow‑up messages, and contract language.
  • Self‑motivated work style, with the ability to manage time independently, prioritize multiple opportunities, and meet sales targets in a hybrid environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits within the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
  • Prior experience in residential construction, remodeling, real estate, or related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management, or equivalent practical experience is beneficial but not required.
