Inside Sales Representative

Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 60‑year‑old well‑established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical, and OEM markets. We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®. We focus on providing top‑tier customer service and adding value to relationships with our customers.

This role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with both new and existing customers to drive account growth. The position is onsite and does not offer a remote work arrangement.

• Be highly motivated, self‑directed and customer service oriented.
• Communicate effectively with customers via phone, written correspondence, and other methods to ensure a high level of customer service and strong client relationships.
• Prepare clear, accurate written documentation, ensuring accurate pricing and configurations; prepare quotes for prospective customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to identify current needs and anticipate future opportunities.
• Maintain customer contacts in a CRM system.
• Act as liaison between the customer and all company departments to assure timely and professional order input and effective order management, customer interface, and shipment coordination.
• Assist outside sales team with customer research and outbound telephone marketing.

• Minimum one‑year experience in an inside sales position in an industrial environment relating to the petrochemical and refining fields.
• Minimum one‑year of working knowledge with gaskets, seals, and hoses.
• Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of word processing programs, spreadsheets, and internet access and searching software as required.
• Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP is a plus.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in metric and English.
• Can compute rates, ratios, percentages and read and comprehend technical drawings.
• Achieves solutions to practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Interprets instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.
• Can multitask with attention to detail.
• Can communicate verbally and in writing with vendors and co‑workers.
• Maintains an organized work area.
• Is self‑motivated.
• Works in a fast‑paced environment dealing with multiple people at one time.
• Is punctual and able to work each day.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ameraflex will provide initial training in sales, operations, and product knowledge. Each employee will receive a handbook that outlines the company policies. Industry and/or manufacturer sponsored training will take place as required.

Spends most of the time in an office environment. May spend some time in the warehouse and be exposed to possible warehouse hazards including heavy machinery and forklift traffic. Frequent sitting and operating a computer and frequent walking and standing.
