We are hiring a Business Development Representative (Outbound) for a digital agency company in the digital marketing and web development industry. This is a Part-Time remote role for a Melbourne, Australia based client. The role owns the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. They are accountable for building and managing their own pipeline, running discovery conversations, presenting solutions, and bringing engagements to a signed agreement.

This role is ideal for an experienced, high-grit, and self-directed sales professional who thrives in full-cycle outbound prospecting , possesses a consultative sales approach , and can confidently engage with business owners and senior decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and build target lists of SMB and startup clients across Australia using research and AI tools.
  • Execute high-volume outbound outreach (calls, emails, Linked In) to generate qualified leads and book discovery meetings. Personalize and thoroughly research prospective businesses before reaching out. Quality, relevance, and tailored communication are valued over raw activity volume.
  • Clearly articulate the value of digital marketing, web design, and development solutions and qualify prospects against ICP and BANT-style criteria
  • Manage and update the sales pipeline in Hub Spot (CRM); log activities, notes, and next steps with high accuracy
  • Collaborate on outreach strategies, messaging, and call scripts. Bring direct insights from prospects back to the leadership team to continuously refine market positioning, service packaging, and ICP targeting.
  • Prepare meeting briefs and handoffs; schedule appointments with the Director and internal team
  • Track and report weekly KPIs (connects, meetings set, show rates, conversions); continuously improve performance
  • Handle occasional inbound inquiries and route appropriately
  • Uphold a five-star client experience and brand reputation in every interaction
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of recent experience in an outbound SDR or BDR roles.
  • Proven success hitting outreach and meetings-set targets in an English-speaking market
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and web solutions fundamentals (e.g., websites, SEO, PPC, design/dev lifecycle)
  • Exceptional written and verbal English with clear, professional delivery suitable for phone-based outreach
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding; proactive problem-solver with strong ownership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience prospecting for a digital agency or technology services firm
  • Familiarity with the Australian/New Zealand market and time zones
  • Track record using Linked In for social selling and Sales Navigator for research
  • A consultative, mature sales demeanor that prioritizes active listening and pausing over high‑pressure, aggressive sales tactics.
Required Skills & Tools
  • Hub Spot CRM (pipeline management, tasks, sequences)
  • Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint) and Linked In
  • AI research/prospecting tools for list building and personalization (Linked In Sales Nav, Pipe Drive, Apollo, Hunter.ai, or similar)
Schedule & Pay
  • Part-Time position to start, with potential to transition to Full-Time;
    Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT) with early-morning (3AM - 7AM) SAST starts
  • Fully remote role for a Melbourne, Australia based client
  • Pay; base salary ranges from ZAR 8000- ZAR 10 500
  • Commission is paid monthly on cash collected. Structure will be outlined during the interview process.
