Sales & Events Executive

The Sales & Events Executive is a newly created position driven by the continued growth of The Godfrey Hotel Boston and Dean Group. You'll join an experienced and collaborative Commercial team, working alongside tenured leaders across Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and Operations. This is a unique opportunity to learn from industry professionals, contribute to a growing organization, and play an important role in shaping our future commercial success—with your own professional growth in mind.

While primarily focused on Sales and Events, this role collaborates closely with Revenue Management and Marketing, providing exposure to the broader Commercial organization and demonstrating how each discipline contributes to hotel performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to expand their commercial expertise and build a strong foundation for future leadership.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and connecting commercial initiatives with operational execution to deliver outstanding guest and client experiences.

  • Maintain accurate client records and activity within Opera Sales & Catering and other commercial systems.
Commercial & Operations
  • Serve as the liaison between Commercial Strategy and Hotel Operations, ensuring seamless communication and execution of group and event business.
  • Assist with commercial reporting, production tracking, and account management.
  • Partner with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Finance to ensure operational readiness.
  • Monitor key deadlines, including contracts, deposits, rooming lists, and event deliverables.
Client Experience

  • Anticipate client needs and resolve issues to deliver a seamless planning and arrival experience.
  • Welcome clients during site visits and events while representing The Godfrey Hotel Boston with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
  • Foster lasting client relationships that support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Team & Development
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and hotel events.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture through continuous learning, process improvement, and cross-functional support.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with hotel systems such as Opera Cloud, Delphi, Cvent, Travel Click/Amadeus, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn, with an interest in commercial strategy and hotel revenue generation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
