The Ag Drone Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of agricultural UAV products and services across Canada in a contract, hybrid role that combines field work with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting product demonstrations for farmers and ag businesses, and presenting tailored solutions that highlight drone capabilities and ROI. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, preparing quotes and proposals, negotiating terms, and coordinating with internal technical and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and support.
The representative will engage with dealers and partners, attend trade shows and industry events, and provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to support product and marketing strategy. Regular reporting on pipeline, sales performance, and customer interactions is expected.
- Strong agricultural sales and business development skills, including lead generation, customer relationship management, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of UAV/drone technology and precision agriculture practices, with the ability to explain technical features and benefits in clear, practical terms.
- Experience conducting product demos, presentations, and field trials, both in-person and through virtual meetings.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with farmers, dealers, partners, and internal teams.
- Ability to plan routes, manage a regional territory, and organize travel to customer sites, trade shows, and training events.
- Comfort with CRM tools, basic data analysis, and reporting on sales pipeline and performance metrics.
- Self-directed work style, capable of succeeding in a hybrid environment with a mix of remote work and on-site visits across Canada.
- Previous experience in agricultural equipment, agritech, or related technology sales is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Canada; eligibility to work in Canada is required.
