The Associate Account Executive is responsible for supporting new business sales executives or existing business account executives.
Key Responsibilities /Duties – What You Will Be Doing (Top Five):- Provides support to 2-3 sales executives in all new and/or existing business sales activities, including developing benefit comparisons by reading and analyzing competitive benefit products and comparing them to one of several P32H benefit products, identifying appropriate plan variations based on direction from Sales/Account Executives during sale/renewal process.
- If new business, scrubs presale quote requests, analyzes case information to prepare for submission to Underwriting. If supporting a new business team, manage account set up for products within the Sales Automation tools according to established departmental guidelines.
- If supporting existing business, responsible for managing the renewal of all accounts through Sales tools, triggering all downstream processes. Acts as primary interface with internal/external HRA and HSA contacts and ensures paperwork and set-up of the group is accurate and timely.
- Acts as liaison between member, clients, brokers and P32H internal departments to reach resolution on broker/customer issues. Represents Harvard Pilgrim at enrollment fairs to answer employee questions about benefits, conducts employee presentations regarding the plan offerings Builds and maintains strong partnerships with brokers and internal contacts.
- Attends and manages follow ups from implementation/renewal meetings, both internally, and with the client/broker directly. Performs sales qualification of leads (following marketing qualification) to determine if it is an active lead. Includes working with brokers to obtain additional information on the status of the lead (renewal date, likelihood to change, current carriers, bid status, etc.) to qualify the lead as "sales ready".
Work with Sales Executive to draft and submit requests for proposal (RFPs), ensuring accuracy of proposal and ensure that it meets the broker/client requirements.
Certification and Licensure

Experience (minimum years required):
- Required:
(minimum) of 1-3 years of experience. Experience in finance or in the healthcare benefits industry working for a group, insurance carrier, broker or general agency preferred. - Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in account management
Skill Requirements

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):
- Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
- Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
- May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

For employees who earn commissions as part of their compensation, an active and unrestricted Producer License in the state(s) where business is conducted is required. Employees must obtain the applicable license within the first six (6) months of employment and maintain it in good standing throughout their employment. Compliance with all applicable licensing, regulatory, and continuing education requirements is a condition of continued employment and commission eligibility.
Salary Range $65,178.94 -$97,768.40
Commissions Range $12,000.00 -$12,000.00
