Role Description The Director, Pharmaceuticals Sales and Marketing is a contract role responsible for leading commercial strategy and execution for Sarfez’s portfolio of cardiorenal products. This hybrid position is based in Tysons Corner, VA, with a combination of on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing sales plans, overseeing sales operations, and managing relationships with healthcare professionals, health systems, and distribution partners.
The Director will develop and execute marketing campaigns, manage product positioning and messaging, and collaborate with medical, regulatory, and finance teams to ensure compliant and effective commercialization.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Sales Operations within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong background in Customer Service and relationship management with healthcare professionals and key accounts.
- Proven Team Management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing sales and marketing staff.
- Experience in Business Development, including identifying and pursuing new markets, partnerships, and strategic opportunities.
- Track record of developing and executing integrated pharmaceutical marketing strategies, including digital and field-based initiatives.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market research, sales data, and competitive intelligence to guide decisions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with comfort engaging senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to pharmaceutical promotion and interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration in Tysons Corner, VA with remote work.
