Job Description & How to Apply Below

This is a remote position.

Our client, in the prepaid electricity, airtime and data sector, is expanding their enterprise offering and is on the hunt for enterprise sales representatives. The Enterprise Sales Representative is primarily responsible for developing new business for our client’s business services division, and for managing the accounts they sign through to a stable, trading relationship. The role covers the full cycle, from identifying and approaching a prospect through to onboarding, early retention and ongoing account development.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

New business development

  • To develop new enterprise business for the business services division and grow the client base beyond the accounts that arrive inbound.

  • To research and identify prospective clients across the corporate and enterprise market, building a prospect list of your own alongside the leads allocated to you.

  • To make first contact by telephone, email and any other necessary means, and to qualify each prospect against the business services offering.

  • To establish the operational problem before presenting a solution, and to position the platform against the real cost of buying prepaid one number at a time.

  • To demonstrate the bulk purchasing platform, recurring order setup, reporting and invoicing capability accurately and with confidence.

  • To pitch to the decision maker in their own terms, whether that is a finance manager, an operations manager, a procurement lead or a business owner.

  • To prepare and issue proposals and pricing within the approved standard framework, and to escalate any exception for approval before committing the business.

  • To meet agreed monthly performance targets covering new accounts signed, revenue generated and qualified client conversations.

  • To maintain awareness of competitor activity, pricing and market movement, and to report anything of consequence to the Client and Technical Support Manager.

Account management and retention

  • To take complete account responsibility for the clients you sign, including servicing, retention and revenue tracking.

  • To run a clean handover to the business services specialist team once a client signs.

  • To stay close to new clients through their opening weeks, and to confirm they are loading numbers, transacting and receiving reporting correctly.

  • To resolve early account, invoicing or technical issues quickly, before they affect the relationship.

  • To identify additional volume, additional sites, further product lines or referral opportunities within accounts already signed.

  • To re-engage lapsed or dormant business accounts where there is a case for doing so.

Reporting and administration

  • To record all prospect activity daily, covering who was contacted, the reason for the contact, the outcome and the agreed next step.

  • To keep pipeline data accurate and current on the CRM at all times.

  • To attend the weekly pipeline and target review, and to plan the following week from it.

  • To produce weekly and monthly sales reports detailing completed activity and performance against target.

  • To ensure that each account has complete and current documentation on file, including signed terms and correct contact records.

  • To feed insight back to marketing on lead quality, objections encountered and messaging that performs.

Working with the team

  • To work closely with the business services specialists, who account for the majority of internal interaction and hold the deepest product knowledge in the business.

  • To liaise with finance on proformas, VAT invoicing and account setup.

  • To coordinate with customer support on client queries during and after onboarding.

  • To treat clients and colleagues from all backgrounds with respect, sensitivity and transparency.

  • To represent the business professionally in every external interaction.

  • To carry out any other reasonable duties required in support of the sales function.

WHAT MAKES SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

These are the behaviours that separate the people who do well here from the people who find the role hard going.

  • Self-motivation. After the first three months nobody is going to tell you how to spend your morning.

  • Belief in what you are selling, and in your own ability to sell it.

  • Energy for competition. You would be working alongside others chasing the same targets, and it should sharpen you rather than drain you.

  • Steadiness through repetition. The rhythm of this work stays fairly consistent, and the people who struggle are usually the ones who need constant novelty.

  • The capacity to absorb rejection and keep momentum through a slow week.

  • Discipline in following up. Most deals are lost in the gap between first contact and close, not in the pitch.

  • Coachability early on. Direction and regular check-ins are part of the first three months while you learn the product.

  • A genuine appetite for the earning potential, rather than a tolerance for variable pay. There is a real difference, and it shows within a quarter.

You must already know how to sell, handle objections and hold executive attention. The…
