The Account Manager acts as the primary point person in addressing all customer issues with respect to inventory, shipping, order entry, billing, etc. in an expedient and courteous manner for assigned accounts. In support of the account management team, the Account Manager maintains strong relationships with the property-level purchasing managers and executive housekeepers addressing multiple types of inquiries at the individual account level.

This position also provides sales support to Territory Managers and Corporate Accounts as needed.

• Provide information and support on inventory, billing, shipping, placing orders, and follow up for large specialty customers while owning the relationship with the customer at the local account level. Primarily interacts with the local/property-level purchasing manager or executive housekeeper.
• Provides sales support to the Territory Managers and Corporate Accounts team on amenity conversions helping them with Gilchrist & Soames products, samples, information, and inventory position.
• Maintains frequent contact and provides superior customer service, maintains customer data, updates contacts and keeps detailed, and accurate records of all interaction and communication with accounts utilizing Salesforce (CRM).
• Manages and executes the day to day logistics for "specialty account" customers and temporary projects as needed by the Guest Supply or Gilchrist and Soames business units to increase sales.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of successful sales, account management or customer service experience.

• Knowledge of various sales methods and techniques.
• Exceptional communicator, oral and written.
• Pleasant and professional telephone presence.
• Charismatic, warm, friendly personality.
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient with basic computer hardware and software (Word, Excel, Teams and CRM Programs).
• Ability to exercise good judgment, work remotely and make decisions with limited supervision.
• Works well under pressure and balance multiple tasks.

• Remote and/or hybrid office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• While this position will primarily work in a remote office environment, very limited travel may be required to attend company events, staff meetings, training sessions, vendor fairs and client appointments.
• May be required to utilize personal vehicle for business travel that may result in long periods of sitting.
• This position may require evening and weekend work depending on business and customer needs.

Receives guidance and direction regarding Key Accounts, Regional Accounts and National Accounts from the Key Account Managers and Corporate Accounts Team. This position does not have a relationship at the Corporate or National decision-making level. Relationships are at the local/individual account level.
