Our client is a manufacturer of lubricants sold into a variety of industries (mining, packaging, automotive, wood, food etc). We are looking for an Area sales manager who can help clients with their applications and suggest which are the right products for them. We are not looking for a sales rep who sells "me-too" products but someone who can elaborate on the why and the can sell tailored solutions.
The Area sales manager with sell to both end-users (2/3) and through distributors (1/3). We favour candidates who have a technical background, can sell value and have managed a large geographic territory.

- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve or exceed targets
- Build strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers through regular visits, calls, and presentations
- Recommend products that best meet customer needs, ensuring solutions are tailored and value-driven.
- Provide additional technical guidance and support whenever required to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to develop a sales budget for the assigned territory or accounts
- Assess customer needs and recommend tailored product solutions, providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, and forecasts using CRM tools.

EducationCollege in mechanical or equivalent experience
