Sales Director (Industrial / Process Manufacturing Equipment)
The Sales Director will lead commercial strategy and sales execution for a thermal processing equipment business unit. This individual will be responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across food and industrial processing markets.
Working closely with Engineering, Applications, Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership, the Sales Director will develop and execute sales strategies, support product development initiatives through customer feedback, and ensure achievement of commercial objectives. This role combines strategic leadership with direct engagement with key global accounts.
Responsibilities include:
- Own revenue growth and sales strategy
- Lead and develop a regional sales team
- Manage forecasts, budgets, and pipeline activity
- Identify and win new business opportunities
- Grow strategic and global customer accounts
- Negotiate capital equipment deals and long-term agreements
- Partner with Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Operations
- Track market trends and competitive activity
- Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events
- Drive CRM discipline and forecast accuracy
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of capital equipment sales experience
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience
- Track record of growing revenue and leading teams
- Experience selling engineered/process equipment
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
Preferred skills include:
- Food processing equipment experience
- Thermal processing or industrial drying experience
- Experience in cereal, snack, fruit, vegetable, or nut processing markets
- Salesforce experience
- Spanish or Portuguese language skills
