Packaging Sales Representative, Corrugated

McAllen, TX | $85,000 to $140,000 per year | Full-Time

A corrugated packaging manufacturer is hiring a territory sales representative to own and grow a South Texas client base across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution sectors. The role centers on custom corrugated box and packaging solutions sold against customer specifications, operational requirements, and cost objectives. This is a hunter-oriented, field-based position for a candidate with an established presence in the South Texas market and a track record of developing new business in industrial and manufacturing accounts.

Schedule:

Full-time, field-based. Regular in-person client visits throughout the assigned territory are required. Remote work for administrative and pipeline management tasks.

Compensation: $85,000 to $140,000 per year. Compensation structure includes base salary plus performance-based incentives.

You will own a defined South Texas territory, prospecting aggressively and building relationships across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution clients with a focus on custom corrugated packaging. The full sales cycle is yours to manage, from lead generation and needs assessment through quoting, closing, and ongoing account management. You will conduct regular in-person client visits throughout the territory to deepen relationships and advance opportunities through the pipeline.

Working closely with internal production and design teams, you will develop tailored, cost-effective packaging solutions that align with each client's operational and budget requirements. Proposals include RFQs, RFPs, pricing strategies, and product recommendations built around specific customer needs rather than commodity offerings. You will maintain an active pipeline in the company's CRM system, produce accurate sales forecasts, and stay current on local market trends across key verticals including energy, food and beverage, and industrial manufacturing.

• 3 or more years of packaging sales experience, with corrugated sales experience required
• Demonstrated success prospecting and developing new business in the South Texas market
• Strong working knowledge of custom packaging solutions as distinct from commodity sales
• Hunter-oriented approach with the ability to manage a territory independently
• Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

• Established network within Houston-area or South Texas manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors
• Experience selling into energy, food and beverage, or industrial manufacturing verticals
• Familiarity with corrugated manufacturing processes and custom box specifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field
• Experience preparing and responding to formal RFQ and RFP processes
